Thorough research and analysis are made. In these quence of study, there are four aspects :motives of investing in Mainland China, policies and consideration when investing, difficulties faced in running and managing the business and relation between investing motives and policy consideration. Between two independent sample groups out of 95 companies, 33 have already invested in China; 62 haven''t yet, and the result shows that some of the motives for investing include: 1.The abundant supply and low price of land in China. 2. Fine quality personnel for the job . 3. Low wage in China. 4. Through moving business abroad, companies can create a new market in China and expand the market. 5. In order to be close to their customers or their customers have already invested in China. 6. Difficulties in getting labor force for fastener and its related business in Taiwan and its high costs. 7. Creating businesses second peak by moving out and establishing a cooperating system across the Strait. Adding production bases overseas. Before getting into the mode, most of the fastener factories which haven''t yet moved to the Mainland choose to work with businesses in China by way of cooperating management or investing ( partnership). Those already invested in China choose mostly to integrate the fastener business in Taiwan and to become partners by investing in the capital. As far as the difficulties are concerned, they include: The fastener factories that are not investing in China think that their investment is not fully protected. Yet those that have already invested in China are facing the problem that their technology and process of production are being copied. In the aspect of investing motives and policy consideration, those that are not investing in China, driven by different motives and factors tend to cut into the Mainland by cutting down the costs, transferring the technology, and expanding the market strategically. Those that are already investing there tend to get in by cutting down the costs and transferring the technology. This research is made aiming at the issues mentioned above. Discussion and analysis are made and suggestions are given concerning related issues.
