Summary:碩士 === 國立花蓮師範學院 === 國民教育研究所 === 90 === Abstract It is practical and essential to proceed the children’s choral teaching in an elementary school, for instance:children’s chorus can be the developing feature of the school;children’s chorus can drive the musical fashions of the school;children’s chorus can mold the high-quality campus culture;through the sound of singing, children’s chorus makes the campus and community being auspicious and pleasant…etc. Domestic researches on the children’s choral teaching were not much, and the majority of them were partial to the theory analysis of the children’s choral teaching and the quantification of the current case, less of them discusses on the observation of teaching site of the children’s choral instructor. For laying stress on the authenticity of the study, the researcher picked a specific elementary school from Keelung and proceeded the live observations and interviews. This paper is aimed at comprehending the proceeding condition of the children’s choral teaching of the Keelung municipal Jen-Ai elementary school through the live observations and knowing the instructor’s strategies on the children’s choral teaching by means of interviews, and try to provide the conclusion for the reference or the application of the future academic research to the instructor of the children’s chorus. In conclusion, the significant findings of this research are as follows: 1.) The organization of the children’s chorus The instructor of the children’s chorus is usually to have to look after multiple sides of serving the posts of conductor and accompaniment, and administering, training, performing and counseling. The selection of the chorus members is including the select conditions and items, the right time and the select frequency. They are important and concerning to the quality of the chorus member. 2.) The teaching content of the children’s chorus Regarding the children’s choral teaching, the first important task is to make sure that the warming-up activities are well done prior to the formal course. The goal is to fully relax the bodies and minds of the chorus member through various practices before the class. The emphasized musical basic skills are the aural ability, pitch, rhythm, note-reading and harmony. The choral basic skills are the practice of unison, round and part singing. The whole performance of chorus includes two dimensions:the choral select and arrangement and the choral interpretation. 3.) The guidance and assistance of the children’s chorus The group discipline goes first in the children’s chorus, then the quality of the chorus. The behavior of the chorus members affects the whole development of the children’s chorus extremely. Every chorus member will be distinct after joining the chorus due to the various individual native intelligence and efforts. The instructor should have the individual counseling to the unadaptable, slow learners after class. Considering the interests and endurance of the pupils, the instructor can vary courses to make the pupils get grid of the uninteresting and boring course temporally and relax themselves to be the best condition for the follow-up learning, such as bringing into the musical game, story-telling on musicians, video-watching …etc.,. 4.) The management of the children’s chorus A well —trained chorus must posses the constant standard, to build the group discipline is essential. Besides the love and patience, the instructor, particularly, also have to pay attention on his emotion in the instructing process. The training time of chorus must be appropriate, based on the principal of “Less time, more times.” There is a close concern between the pushing the children’s choral teaching forward and the administrators and teachers in the elementary school. The good interaction among the parents, teachers and pupils would be contributive to the perpetual development of the children’s chorus. According to the above-mentioned conclusions, this study provided some suggestions for the reference of governor related organization and the instructors of the children’s chorus in the elementary school.
