Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 特殊教育學系在職進修專班 === 90 === A survey study on the elementary school pupils’ attitude toward their visually impaired peers in Taichung City. Abstract    The purpose of this study is to explore the attitude of Taichung City elementary school pupils toward their visually impaired peers through a questionnaire designed by the researcher. In addition to the survey study, semistructured interview approach is implemented. Data from the 444 respondents are analysed with Pearson correlations, multiple regression, t-test, two-way ANOVA, and MANOVA. The results are arranged as the following: 1. The attitudes of the respondents toward their visually impaired peers are quite consistent and positive. 2. Two variables, grade and levels of academic performance, are sensitive to predict the acceptability toward their visually impaired peers. 3. The other two variables, sex and experience of being peer leader in the classroom, have no evidence showing to be predictable. 4. Several findings from the interview are meaningful as suggestions to improve peer relationship among the classmates of the inclusionary classes. Research recommendations are suggested to the teachers and classmates in the inclusionary
