Summary: | 碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 工業教育學系在職進修專班 === 90 === The purpose of this research was to survey the current condition of Information Education in Senior vocational school, the environment of Information Education, and the factors that have influence on Information Education; and furthermore, to analyze the relation among them. It was expected that the result of this research was beneficial to promoting the development of Information Education.
The population of this research was those who advocated promoting Information Education In Taiwan in 89 academic year (2000). The sample consists of 637 subjects from 91 schools who were selected by stratified random sampling techniques. The total number of usable sets of instrument return was 560 and a usable return rate of 87.91%.
The supportive research tool was composed of three questionnaires: one was about the executive condition of Information Education; another was about the environment of Information Education; and the other was about the factors that had effects on Information Education. The validity and reliability of the questionnaires were acceptable. The data obtained was tested by statistic analytical methods. Following were the summations of the results.
1.Information Education was already widespread in senior vocational school. But technology of computer science was improving day by day. In order to maintain the result of Information Education, constantly getting new knowledge of computer science was required.
2.Successfully carrying out Information Education depended on whether it could be worked on without interruption. To keep it working on needed the support and trust of education supervisors. So the supervisor’s support was indispensable for putting Information Education into practice.
3.Information Education was a kind of fundamental work. It was hard to see its concrete result. It might be possible to find out its concrete result by holding contests of computer science between or among school. It was also an excellent method to advocate Information Education.
4.In this research, it showed that Information Education didn’t play a key role in carrying out Information Education. Maybe it was necessary to survey the relation between promoting staff’s computer literacy and carrying out Information Education.
5.According to this research, it was found that the factors, which had effects on Information Education, were related experience, change of technology, and the level of computerization. So it was expected that the education governors could have good management, effectively advocate the importance of Information Education, and provide sufficient facilities for schools.
6.This research showed that awareness, expenses, and data security had little effects on Information Education. Because of the requirement in the environment, the factor of psychology and the factor of expenses gradually became less and less important.
7.It showed that the old aged staff needed special care while learning computer science.
8.Although there were differences between the city and the country, the essence of Information Education was beyond space. The Internet was far reaching. The only way to improve the current condition is to carry out Information Education effectively.
