Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 特殊教育研究所 === 90 === A Comparison of the Oral and Written Expression Performances of Learning Disabled and General Students at Fifth Grade Level Abstract The study takes a single picture as stimulus, and aims to explore the oral and written expression characters of fifth- graded general and learning disability(LD) students;in advance to compare the relationships of students groups(general students and learning disability students) and expressions modes (oral expression and written expression). The study takes elementary school fifth -graded students in Taichung as screening subjects, selecting 16 learning disability students and 16 general students to match with the LD students. The language samples collect from the oral and written expressions of LD students and general students , and are analyzed by the fluency(number of total characters;number of total words, NTW)、words diversity(number of different characters;number of different words, NDW;校正後相異字比例;corrected type token ratio, CTTR)and the quality of text content as the ability indices . The statistical analysis of average deviation(AD)、standard deviation(SD)、range、within-subjects design t-test and within-subjects ANOVA are used to examine the results. The results are as follows: 1. In the expression types, the most LD students’ performances are better in oral expression, but both oral and written expressions don’t achieve significant difference in CTTR of words diversity ;the general students’ writting language samples of CTTR of words diversity are better than oral ones, the fluency of oral expression are better than written ones, and the others don’t have any significant differences. 2. In the students groups, oral-fluency、written-fluency、oral-words-diversity and the idea and vocabulary of Lynch Analytic Scale don’t differentiated LD students and general students , but the general students are better than LD students in the words diversity of written expression、all ability indices of written Lynch Analytic Scale、the sentences, organizations and whole scale of oral Lynch Analytic Scale. 3. In the interaction effect, the students’ groups don’t effect the results in fluency(total number of characters;NTW)、scores of number of different characters、scores of number of different words;when remove the factor of text length, the CTTR and ability index of text content achieve interaction effect between expression types and students types. It indicates that LD students’ oral expression are better than written ones, but the general students’ written expression are better than oral ones.
