This thesis is aimed at space-time trellis coding, using multilevel coding technology to decrease complexity. Chapter 3 focuses on full diversity space-time codes, using a code in [4] to design a space-time block code which has three transmission antennas. We try to change signal labeling and calculate determinant in order to research error performance and transform this structure to a type of space-time trellis codes. Try to find a design method to construct space-time trellis codes instead of delay diversity scheme.
Chapter 4 focuses on non-full diversity space-time codes which increase transmission rate and reduction of observe error performance. We also compare with space-time trellis coding in order to obtain more insights and improve its error performance.
