We use DRLM to observe the free-standing thin film by applied electric field in the chisso-4001 material.the data show us:
1.layer spacing=44.8Å,no=1.57.
2.Sm-CA* films with an odd number of layers possess transverse ferroelectricity,films with an even number of layers exhibit longitudinal ferroelectricity.
3.Using rotating electric field in the film,ring pattern form from edge to center.
4.Using reverse rotating electric field in the film,ring pattern disappear from center to edge.
5.Elastic constant equal to 15.9 erg/cm。
