Summary: | 碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 建築研究所 === 90 === Since the invention of Internet, Internet users have been experiencing a new and magic “world.” According to the definitions in traditional architecture theories, “space” is generated whenever people define a finite void by some physical elements (Zevi, 1985). However, although Internet is a virtual, immense, invisible and intangible world, navigating in it, we can still sense the very presence of ourselves and others in a wonderland. This sense could be testified by our naming of Internet as Cyberspace.
Base on this new concept, architecture design is developing new ideas about experience of environment and behavior of interaction. The design works of this portfolio are all motivated by such computer technology issue like Cyberspace, Information Space, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality etc. The creations include both physical architecture design process and composition of virtual space. These works are trying to find any new meaning of form or element within architecture field in this constantly digitized living environment.
