The optical characteristics include the brilliance, luster, fire, Birefringence, asterism, and so on. We use the 3D voxel matrices architecture to store the tracks of light in the scene regardless of the attributes of surfaces instead of 2D illumination map that is pre-calculated texture for diffuse surfaces only. Besides, Implementing Ray Tracing needs lots of computing resources and memorial capacity. Thus, the hierarchical spatial division method is created to offer us a parallel and distributed environment. It helps us improve the system performance and the image quality. The prototype of our 3D visualization system of gemstones, 3D Gemstone Viewer, which is useful for jewelry industry, is also introduced in this paper. Lieu-Hen Chen 陳履恆 2002 學位論文 ; thesis 63 zh-TW |
