During the molding the mold was kept at the same temperature as the polymer melt. Pressure transducers mounted inside the mold can pick up the pressure drop in the slit cavity. The data can be used to determine melt viscosities for different melt temperatures and shear rates. A generalized Cross-Carreau equation was used to fit the viscosity data.
