| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 航空太空工程學系碩博士班 === 90 === Viscosity of polymer melt was reported to depend on the pressure environment. A simple melt was designed and constructed in this study. Polymer melt viscosity under the processing conditions can be measured by direct injection of the mold mounted on an injection machine. During the molding the mold was kept at the same temperature as the polymer melt. Pressure transducers mounted inside the mold can pick up the pressure drop in the slit cavity. The data can be used to determine melt viscosities for different melt temperatures and shear rates. A generalized Cross-Carreau equation was used to fit the viscosity data. It is possible to determine the dependence of polymer viscosity on pressures using this simple setup.
