| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 工程科學系專班 === 90 === Based on MPEG-7, a searching system suitable for multimedia information is implemented. The concept of control volume from fluid dynamics is applied to read the shots and the key frames in the films. A complete searching system for characters in the films is then constructed by the MPEG-7 description formats, the XML application program interface (API) and Microsoft XML core service. Thus, the basic information for searching engine is provided, such as the names of characters and the corresponding roles, the shots for each characters and the show-up time in the play.
