Marg. Rose’ which are special varieties for export to Japan were tested in this studies to investigate the quality deterioration and physiological effect of cut flowers processed with different pulsing solution then cold storaged after fumigation, and pursued the physiological effect of cut flowers under different pulsing solution at different temperature then storaged, different pulsing time, and different dehydration time. There is no toxicity on the leaves of chrysanthemum ‘Pai Tong Yang’ ,but there are different toxic levels with different maturity of tongue petals. There is no toxicity on any part of chrysanthemum ‘Huang Shou Fong’ treated with fumigation, but the flower diameter was shorter. Pulsing with different concentration of Proline or ATA can’t improve the toxicity on flower appearance, but pulsing with 10 mM Proline improved the flower diameter when they bloomed, keep the quality of leaves, and reduce the respiration and ethylene production. After fumigation, there is no toxicity on three cultivars of gladiolus’ Amsterdam’, ‘FG223’, ‘Pink Giant’. However, in comparison with ATA, Proline improved the flower quality obviously. The studies show that ‘Pai Tong Yang’ has worse tolerance of fumigation, so we suggest that it is not suitable for quarantine treatment of fumigation. However, there is no obvious toxicity on ‘Huang Shou Fong’ after fumigation, but the flower blooming diameter was shorter. The research result presented that flowers pulsed with 10 mM Proline improved the flower guality. There were no toxicity on these three cultivars of gladiolus. The gladiolus with fumigation by pulsing with Proline made quality of flower acceptable. Pulsing processed at in different temperature, the cut flower quality of chrysanthemum’ Huang Shou Fong’ and gladiolus ‘FG223’pulsed with 10mM Proline may be obviously improved. Instead, there is toxicity appearance on the cut flowers and the quality become worse by pulsing with 70 mM ATA at 15℃ and 25℃. Pulsed with 10 mM Proline for 8 hrs, ‘Huang Shou Fong’, compared with others, can prolong the vase life, and improve the flower opening diameter during the beginning vase life. Pulsed with 10 mM Proline for 4 hrs, Gladiolus cultivar ‘Princ. Marg. Rose’ may obviously increase the florets opening and decrease the wilted florets. There is no significant effect on vase life, water uptake, fresh weight change, flower opening and the quality of leaves of chrysanthemum ‘Huang Shou Fong’ and gladiolus ‘Princ. Marg. Rose’ without dehydration. However, the cut flowers with dehydration treatment then pulsed with Proline improved the flower opening during the beginning vase life and decreased the respiration and ethylene during the final vase life. Moreover, Proline improved flower quality and worked on better effect when flowers stayed longer dehydration. The most effective was 12 hrs dehydration. Ruey-Song Lin 林瑞松 2002 學位論文 ; thesis 139 zh-TW
