Summary: | 碩士 === 國立政治大學 === 行政管理碩士學程 === 90 === The main purpose of this research is to explore the differences and correlation among work values, Protestant work ethic and job involve- ment of Christian hospital nurses in Taiwan. It also wants to find what the influential factors that affect the nurses’ work values, Protestant work ethic and job involvement are. In this research, a questionnaire is used to carry out empirical verification. The valid samples come to 312, who are from two Christian hospitals--one at the Northern Taiwan; the other at the Eastern Taiwan.
The questionnaire includes four parts: work values scale, Protestant work ethic scale, job involvement scale, and personal backgrounds of the nurses. In addition, the researcher uses Factor Analysis, Descriptive Statistics, t-Test, One-Way ANOVA, and Pearson Product-Moment Correlations to analyze the data.
The research discoveries are as follow:
1. Those who are older involve more in their job.
2. Those who are Christians involve more in their job.
3. Those who have higher educational level involve more in their job.
4. Those who have longer work experience involve more in their job.
5. Those who are older agree more to Protestant work ethic.
6. Those who have longer work experience agree more to Protestant work ethic.
7. There is a positive correlation between Protestant work ethic and work values.
8. There is a positive correlation between work values and job involvement.
9. There is a positive correlation between Protestant work ethic and
job involvement.
10. Protestant work ethic, work values, and job involvement are
correlated.
At last, discussion and comments are provided to practicers and for further research concerning related subjects.
