Summary: | 碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 資訊管理學系碩士在職專班 === 90 === Nowadays, the evaluation criteria offered by higher level departments such as RDEC have profound influences on the development and maintenance of government websites. However, these criteria rarely focus on the real demands or perceptions of users. Instead, they just emphasize on the usage of various technical functions and good-looking interfaces.
Information quality should be one of the most important concerns of government websites. With the above understanding, this study explored website evaluation criteria by adding information quality issues into account. Furthermore, the technology acceptance model (TAM) was introduced to measure the users’ real perceptions by means of usefulness and ease of use constructs.
The respondents of this study were voluntary website surfers of Shi-Lin district office of Taipei city. An online questionnaire was available within study period. With 94 valid returns, our results showed that information quality positively affects both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, while the official criteria affect ease of use only. Therefore, we recommend that information quality is worth considered when analyzing users'' perception. Besides, this study also validated that TAM is applicable for understanding the acceptance of government websites.
