Description
Summary:碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 資訊管理研究所 === 90 === Wireless ATM (WATM) is being regard as the next generation wireless solution for meeting the demands of the users. Besides supporting various ATM traffics efficiently and high data transfer rate, it can also provide QoS to each connection. In this paper, it is proposed an adaptive reservation scheme reserving data slots for CBR and VBR connections based on a MAC protocol. The scheme can utilize scarce bandwidth more efficient according to the priority among different ATM cells. In the proposed MAC protocol, it is designed an efficient scheduling algorithm that allocates data slots to the connections based on their queue information and reserved bandwidth to reduce and bound the delay time of real time traffics and increase the throughput based on the QoS requirements. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme outperforms the other scheme no matter when the system load is low or high.
