Research of Clinical Laboratory’s Productivity In comparison of 3 hospitals from southern Taiwan

碩士 === 義守大學 === 管理科學研究所 === 90 === Medical environments changed and increased constantly; public hospitals has to do self-management within the limited external resources but still need to supply same quality of medical service, therefore they always runs to a self loss financially and can not help to look out for more intentions on the management of clinical environment from all the departments. This research tends to compare 2 municipal hospitals and 1 private hospital (Juan General Hospital) to do productivity analysis on clinical laboratory, and further on to discuss the inspection, further education, and re-education of people among laboratories. The research subjects are clinical laboratory of Municipal Tatung Hospital, Municipal Women/Children Hospital and private Juan General Hospital of sameness nature. The research elements composed form groups of outpatients, hospitalized laboratory patient, inspector, are of ratio analysis, statistics analysis, and ANOVA analysis to find out distinction among the mentioned 3 hospitals. And the research resulted that: 1. The general productivity in the clinical laboratory of the said 2 municipal hospitals rates below Juan General Hospital. 2. There shows same extent of effective productivity on outpatient inspection among these three hospitals, which shows no big difference. 3. Productivity on hospitalized inspection shows that the said 2 municipal hospitals scored much lower than Juan General Hospital. 4. Outpatient inspection on quality and education side: a. Outpatient inspection quality control-both municipal hospitals scores a little lower than Juan General Hospital. b. Upon reeducation hospital staff, over half of medical inspectors are accepting their school reeducations. c. About the report quantity of clinical inspection, the said 2 municipal hospitals is much lower than Juan General Hospital. During this research process, I separately supply some suggestions and future research direction on clinical laboratory management, wish to supply some reference material for the higher authorities.
