Summary: | 碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 資訊管理學系 === 90 === Due to the maturity of data transmission security technologies and popularity of the World Wide Web, organizations are now able to exchange messages through the Internet. The electronic data exchange is no longer constrained to the expensive VAN. The eXtensible Markup Language (XML) has features of crossing platforms and format standardization hence it creates opportunities to solve transmission problems for transmission projects mainly depending on the Internet. The XML contains cautious quality hence it not only is a great format for message transmission but also increases co-operation opportunities between organizations.
This study proposes a whole new structure using XML document standards according to RosettaNet and use it for the media of message exchange. The use of RosettaNet structure is to achieve the purpose of message exchange and consequently form opportunities for cross-organizational co-operation. This common message gateway is built on an organization’s interface to the outside of an organization. Organizations can adopt this gateway infrastructure proposed in this study to achieve low cost, high security message exchange through the Internet.
In this thesis, a prototyping system is built for an experiment in order to prove the do-ability of the theory discussed in this thesis. At the end of this thesis, I evaluate the prototyping system developed by this research on the message exchange and information sharing. The result shown it is a practical and effective approach to implement the supply chain management system in this new digital era.
