In a multi-user scenario both desired signals and interference co-exist, thus we apply linear constrain minimum variance(LCMV) algorithm to set directional constrains to form multi-beam to provide better converage and high gain for desired users as well as to set nulls to cancel interference simultaneously. LCMV can be a proper algorithm for implementation a digital beamformer for the SAS system. However, the adaptation or update the LCMV weighting function involves matrix inversion which the computing load from matrix inversion may cause the real time processing or the implementation of LCMV algorithm especially challenging or impossible. In this paper we apply vector space projection technique to update in real-time manner the array weighting based on the LCMV and LCMN algorithms. Simulation results are shown to confirm the feasibility, also the performance is compared, of the vector space projection approach.
