However, there have been several approaches for the beam-steering of a phased array antenna by using fiber grating technique. A typical approach is that a number of uniform fiber Bragg gratings written at different positions along fiber axis are used for determining the beam pointing direction of the array antenna. Instead of using uniform fiber Bragg gratings, we propose a scheme which employs superstructure fiber bragg gratings (SFBG) for an accurate time-delay beam-steering system of array antenna.
