The image capture card of Foucs ComputerEyes/PCI Capture card which we used in the original type of eye-tracking system has been stopped manufacturing. To engage in the research of eye-tracking system, select a new hardware of image capture card and a new software component of machine vision are really necessary. We developed a new machine vision component on VCL framework by using Microsoft''s DirectShow. The component could use on the USB conferencing cameras, 1394 DV devices, image capture devices, TV viewing, and multiple video streams support. We also developed a high-speed and high-sensitivity machine vision component on QImaging Retiga 1300 Camera by using Intel MMX/SSE/SSE2 technology. This software technology makes the component has high capacity and high performing. We can develop eye-tracking system and head-control systems rapidly by using these components. Here we set up an auto correction method of eye-tracking system, base on the Cognitive Psychology. And movement increment-control coordinate system of head-control system is also presented. It could help people to use computer more conveniently by these two systems. Finally, we have designed the eye diagnosis system structure for iris image capture, and established the setup of iris image could be quantified. We hope that the eye diagnosis system will be developed for the Chinese medical science and clinic experiences.
