This study investigates the change of land prices after earthquake 921 in Taiwan. Theoretically speaking, land prices may be affected by natural disasters, such as earthquake. Unfortunately, there is no empirical study focusing on the changes of land prices after any natural disaster in Taiwan. Hence, I tries to examine whether or not the happening of any natural disaster, in the case of earthquake that has been studied here, will make dramatic changes in land prices. The results show that the changes of land prices in earthquake area are higher than the areas far away from earthquake area.
