As the economics are booming and the whole living qualities are upgrading, the demands of school facilities are correspondingly rise, in which the demands of kindergarten are most complex. In order to understand the relation of power consumption among kindergartens in Taichung City, we took kindergartens in Taichung City as the actual area and objectives of our study. In this study, we collected data of power consumption behaviors and characteristics through questionnaires, and applied statistical analysis method on this data, to describe the distribution of samples, climate factors and the correlation between relative attributes of kindergarten and the power consumption. The purpose of this study is to determine factors affecting power consumption of kindergarten, which will be used as a reference for energy saving and the evaluation standards for kindergarten construction in the future. The concrete results of this study are as follows: 1. Setup of data of relative attributes of kindergarten. 2. Setup of consumption volumes of kindergarten users. 3. In the total annual consumption volumes of kindergartens, the volumes in summer are 1.6 times of that in winter. 4. The investigation of facility utilization shows that energy consumption rate of air-condition, lighting and electrical equipment are as high as 50%. 5. In the evaluation of housing energy consumption, we learned that the average level of housing energy consumption of public kindergartens is 1.52[W/m2.k]; while the average level of housing energy consumption of private kindergartens is 1.48[W/m2.k]. 6. The average annual power consumption of each student of private kindergartens is 420 [kWh/person. Year]; and the average power consumption of total floor area is 47[kWh/m2.year]. 7. The results of investigation of total annual power consumption shows that the average value of total annual power consumption of kindergartens is 47.1[kWh/m2.year]; and its air-conditioner electrical consumption will be 29.36[kWh/m2.year]; and its basic electrical consumption will be 17.74[kWh/m2.year]. 8. The results of investigation of power consumption shows that the air -conditioner of a central air-conditioner of systematic the average value of the moon power consumption is 4.93[kWh/m2.mon.]; and to separate of air conditioning an average value is 3.66[kWh/m2.mon.];and windows of air conditioning an average value is 3.71[kWh/m2.mon.]. 9. The volumes of total annual power consumption of kindergartens are obviously affected by temperatures, showing a positive correlation of secondary curve; however, the affection of horizontal daylight, wind speed, and relative humidity are less obvious. 10. In the variation of total annual power consumption of kindergartens and attributes of kindergartens, there is an obvious correlation among three variables of “total persons x total floor area”, “total persons”, and “total floor area”.
