On the other hand, the settings of the campus, more or less, will influence students´ learning motive and the teachers’ performance. In terms of the environmental planning, therefore, the interaction between people and the surroundings should be taken into consideration. In Taiwan, there are approximately eighty-two percent of the campus plans included water as the element of design. And for the environmental design, the use of waterscape also reckoned as a crucial element. This study is dealt with the relationship among the waterscape pattern, waterscape cognition and student´s behavior. This study intends to test four hypothesis, which are: First, the behavior in the waterscape, and the analysis of what contribute it. Second, the individuality, cognition and behavior are within the discussion. Finally, the connectivity among the waterscape pattern, individuality, behavior and cognition will be discussed. This study choose three waterscape settings in FENG CHIA University. At the beginning, we observe and record the characteristics of waterscape and user′s behavior. Then, a questionnaire is devised for the user, which 398 copies of valid questionnaire were received. The data analysis employs the Repeated measures ANOVA, t-test, Canonical Correlation Analysis and Pearson Correlation Analysis to examine the research hypothesis. The result of this study are: The observation shows that the user behavior differs from place to place. The cognition varies with the different types of waterscape. The waterscape cognition may vary with the different types of individuality. The waterscape cognition may relate to the user behavior. The user behavior differs from different patterns of waterscape.
