Description
Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 電機工程研究所 === 90 === The characteristics of intermittent loads are special. It may be periodic or non-periodic. The action period of the intermittent loads is not continuous. Traditionally, the feeder, switch, fuse, breaker and transformer planning were based on the full load. When considering the rate of use of intermittent loads, it is not easy to determine the transformer capacities. Therefore, it is important to explore the transformer capacity planning by considering the demand and economic factors. This thesis proposed a new method based on Genetic Algorithms (GA) to determine the transformer capacities for intermittent loads. The transformer capacities should satisfy the specifications. The costs of transformers were minimized while the voltage fluctuations (dips) and frequency should satisfy relevant standards. An 11-bus and 18-bus systems were used to be the test systems. From the simulation results, it is found the proposed method can be used for determining transformer capacities efficiently.
