The GPRS system, as an extension for the European GSM standard, was produced to cater for packet transmission. The Northern American PACS standard already had data packet transmission functionality in its initial form. This thesis is focused on the comparison between GPRS and PACS/PPC subsystem at the seven important features, including Logical Channel, Mobility Management, Data-link Layer, Power Control, Flow Control, Handset Function, VoIP Packet Service Delay. We also analyze how network design affects the structure, function and application of both subsystems. Jyh-Horng Wen 溫志宏 2002 學位論文 ; thesis 185 zh-TW
