The specific purpose of this study is to understand the constituents of adult learners’ level of gender role stereotype; furthermore investigating and discussing the level of gender role stereotype of adult learners in the participation of nonformal learning curricula, with a view to review and reexamine the transformative theory applied in Taiwan, hoping to provide suggestions for arrangement of future curricula. In order to fit for the goal and theme of this study, the object is targeted from a series of speech holding by Yung-le Women Center in Taipei municipal, under the plan and guidance of Awakening Women Association in Taipei municipal, the curriculum of “Training for Excellent Parents: journey of my children and I --- starting from the equality of bisexual education,” as the main studied field. The participants of the curriculum are the objects of this study, and their classroom participation is to be observed, while at the same time the questionary of gender role stereotype is designed. Among those participants, choose and analyze the top four students with most stereotyped level, and later interview them with thrice semi-structured interviews. Initially, the stereotype of adult learners’ transformative learning is illuminating form analysis of individual case, and follow with synthetic analyses and discussion.
