Therefore, the communication applications of digital data have become much more convenient and important. Respectively, the illegal users can also easily intercept every kind of digital data, which is being transmitted and flowing fluently through the Internet channel. Hence, problems concerning information security of secret data transmission, data integrity and validation of copyright become severely serious and should be resolved in no time. In this thesis, an image accreditation technique by embedding digital watermarks in digital image is proposed. The proposed method for the digital watermarking is based on the wavelet transform. In the proposed approach, an original image is decomposed into wavelet coefficients, then, the watermarking scheme is used to achieve the robustness of the watermarking. The experimental results demonstrate that the watermark is robust to resist several signal processing techniques, including JPEG and JPEG2000 compressions, sharpening, blurring, resizing and noising.
