In order to understand the interaction between the water droplet and flame, the CCD camera and macro lenses are used to acquire the eventually phenomena of fire extinguishing in the experiment. The result shows that(1)Regarding the jet direction, the best effective in fire extinguishing is horizontal, the 2nd is bevel angle, the last is vertical ;(2)at the same volume flow rate condition, the larger of the droplet size the more effective in fire extinguishing;(3)for the droplet stream with enough momentum passing through the flame, the influence in fire extinguishing with induced air current is large than that with vaporizing droplet;(4)the main factor for fire extinction is changing the air/fuel ratio of the firing mixture by inducing the air current.
