The design for Dammann grating, a symmetric binary phase grating with seven diffraction beams, will be integrated with the HOE module and used in DVD pickup head. The microstructure of the grating built on the substrate of BK-7 is implemented by the reactive ion etching (RIE) technique. From measurement, it shows that the designed grating is expected.
