Description
Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 電機工程研究所 === 89 === In this thesis, we consider the design and performance analysis of MMSE DFE receiver with adaptive quadrature amplitude modulation. We first consider the most fundamental case of a single-user single antenna case, i.e., the SU-SISO case. The SISO-MMSE-DFE receiver, pseudo signal-to-noise ratio and its analytic BER performance are derived by using the Gaussian approximation technique, which treats the ISI terms as a Gaussian random variable. AQAM is applied in conjunction with a DFE in order to mitigate the effects of the slowly varying wideband multipath Rayleigh fading channel in a noise-limited environment. An upper-bound mean bit error rate and bits per symbol is introduced for this scheme by utilizing the pseudo-SNR at the output of the DFE in order to switch the appropriate modulation mode on a burst-by-burst basis. Then the result is further extended to single-user multiple antenna case, i.e., the SU-SIMO case. Next, we focus on the problem of multiuser detection, which means that the same time slot is allocated to two simultaneous users within the same cell.
