Also, the management of the apron assignment of the air cargo terminal is one of the key management operations. The purpose of this research was to develop a useable strategy for apron assignment that can minimize the transportation cost and also increase the efficiency of the apron operations. Two methods were utilized to solve this apron assignment problem. First method was focused on the combination of 3 static apron assignments and 2 real-time apron assignments. The second method considered 3 dynamic apron assignment strategies so that the real-time flight information could be included in the model. The results showed that the dynamic apron assignment performed better than the static and real-time apron assignment in flight interference, reducing the buffer time, and transportation cost.
