Summary: | 碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 空間設計系碩士班 === 89 === During the past researches of “Taiwan public art”, they were always setting the themes on the artistic of work, the popularity or open space. Further more, each of them seldom mentioned about the particular relationship of understanding between the artist, public and art works.
Here, I intend to discuss, from the aspect of artists and the social commonalty, the value of public art in Taiwan. Besides, the research here also trying to makes the interactive relationships (artist, art works, public, art criticism) clear, and intends to construct a path, which communicates with both side of art works and public.
The content includes the public art events, the interview of artist, to undergo and experience the public art and to discuss and analyze on the art criticism field.
There are 6 chapters inside of the thesis: (1) Interpretation of the motivation of research. (2) Analyzing of correlation documents and starting to construct a framework of criticize and analyze of “public art”. (3) Discussing the forming of creation ideas. (4) Analyzing the influence results of public from the exposition of society. (5) Discussing the interactive relationship of artist, works, commonalty and art criticism from the installation process of works. Point out the meaning of society and the possibility of communication in the criticism of public art. (6) Reference, review and the propositions for further studies.
The achievements of this research includes:
(1) This research focus on the forming of public art creation and social exposition, especially go deep into discuss the detailed themes.
(2) Intend to form a critical system, which suit for our country in the sequence of ideas of humanism in the present age.
(3) Using the“ code of design culture” theory to analyze the “public art”, which between design and art, will go further into the achievement of analyzing.
