The comparison of the legibility between different sexuality is also made. The literature review, deep interviewing, and experiment research methods are utilized. There are three steps in this study. The first step is a pilot test on the legibility of different colors. A total of 62 sets vary in colors are tested by 10 elderly. The second step is the test of the legibility of colors selected in the first step. There are 16 sets colors as instrument tested by 30 elderly testers (age 65~80). The third step used the same instrument is tested by 24 young people (age 20~24). The major findings of the study are:(1)the legibility of color of the high lightness picture on the low brightness background is most effective selection;(2)significant difference are found between effective color legibility samples and ineffective color legibility samples; (3)the lightness difference is the most effective factor than color difference, saturation difference and hue difference; (4)the average of visual acuity of young testers is higher then the average of visual acuity of elderly testers; (5)proper color design can prove the legibility of both elderly and young people; (6)No significant difference are found between different sexuality by elderly and young testers; (7)The lightness is most effective factor of the legibility of elderly ,but the hue difference to young testers.
