Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 資訊管理系碩士班 === 89 === Ever since Mainland China’s structural reforms, abundant nature resources, lower cost of labor and land, and great business potentials provided by huge population, has her been though as the most promising market of the world in the 21st century. Mainland China always becomes the first step of Taiwan enterprises toward international business Due to the same background of culture and language, Mainland China has also been the first market of Taiwan enterprises’ stepping into global market. This research bases on the strategy management process model of Hitt et al. (1999), the theory of “competing on the edge" by Eisenhardt (2000), and relevant theories of strategy management to study the status and essences of the interaction between business strategies and information strategies of Taiwan enterprises operating in mainland China. The main themes of this research are to explore how should Taiwan enterprises to handle internal and external environmental factors, and effectively integrated business strategies and information strategies to create a sustainable competitive advantage in Mainland China. This case study is based on methodologies suggested by Eisenhard (1989), Yin (1994), and Miles & Huberman (1994). The major research issues can be listed as follows: (1) the planning and implementation status of Taiwan enterprises’ business and information strategies in mainland China, (2) the interaction dynamics between business and information strategies, and (3) the influences of environmental factors both internally and externally toward the interaction between business strategies and information strategies. This study provides critical finding on these issues, as well as gives helpful suggestions for Taiwan enterprises operating in Mainland China.
