Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 工業工程與管理研究所碩士班 === 89 === The optimal number of retail stores and location problems become the most important issues in current competitive environment. In this research, we try to solve the above problems in two stages. Stage I, we first calculate number of retail stores in the selected county based on marketing potential. Then, using the method of geographic information system (GIS) to search the possible locations by way of GIS. Since the GIS can show geographical feature distributed in the selected county, such as land, road, mountain, and river, the selected possible store locations shall fit in actual environmental constraints. In stage II, we will develop a model to compute the market share within the possible locations. The objective in this stage is to find the maximal market share. The calculation of the market share is conducted by a VB program, which can generate a priority list for all selected possible locations. Finally, the locations with high priority is then confirmed.
