Description
Summary:碩士 === 大同大學 === 化學工程研究所 === 89 === In this study, a mathematical model for drying process of a pre-wetted porous catalyst support has been developed. The mathematical model considers the pre-wetted support as a pseudo-homogeneous one, and water diffuses out of the support during drying process. The temperature difference inside the support is neglected, however, that between the support and the bulk drying gas is considered. Thermogravimertic Analysis (TGA) has been done for three sizes of pre-wetted spherical supports at three drying temperatures. A total of 9 sets of experiment data is used to determine the parameters used in the mathematical model by non-linear regression. The model predictions are consistent with TGA experiments. Results of computer simulation enable us to understand the dynamic behaviors of diffusion of water inside the support and the temperature change of the support during the drying process.
