Description
Summary:碩士 === 淡江大學 === 教育科技學系 === 89 === In order to work with the government’s policy to popularize the Information Education, and the implementation of the new “Nine-Year Integrated Curricula,” it is necessary to transfuse information technology into the instructions of courses for enabling teachers in junior high and primary schools with skills to apply information technology in teaching, and thus to meet the teaching demand in the future. Due to the reason that most teachers do not receive information education before their career, it is also necessary for teachers to receive in-service education to qualify themselves with skills to apply information. However, currently most instructional design does not meet the demand of application of teaching for teachers in junior high and primary schools. Its content overemphasizes the skills of operating computer software, but only put little emphasis to develop knowledge for information education. This situation makes teachers unable to understand how to apply computer and computer network in class teaching. The purpose of this study was to design and develop a multimedia web-based curriculum for In-service Teachers. Through documentary analysis, this study epitomized that teachers should have knowledge and skills related to web-based multimedia instruction. In addition, to accommodate the total hours of instruction and curriculum guideline regulated by the Ministry of Education, the study offered its suggestion─“In-service Teacher Education of the Web-Based Multimedia Instruction and Application Class,” through scrutinizing the shortcomings that the content of courses overemphasizes the skills of operating computer software but lacks the application in teaching. Furthermore, this study adopted the approach of the systematic instructional design to develop a curriculum (including two topics: Web-based Multimedia Instruction and Homepage Design) and a multimedia package suitable for teacher in-service education. Then, experts in the field of course content and instructional design, and learners were invited to evaluate the rudiment courseware and offer their suggestions. According to the findings and reflections during the development of courseware, the study offered its suggestions regarding curriculum design and the future studies direction for web-based multimedia instruction of junior high and primary school teachers. Hopefully these suggestions could serve as references for teacher in-service education in the Tamkang University, and to enhance junior high and primary school teachers’ information literary in teaching, thus to promote the effectiveness of information education.
