Because of the popular of digital audio tape recording and audio video taping illegal fake music copies almost have the same qualities as the original music copies. At the same time, the prosperity of Internet provide the convient ways of using music copies, in the meantime, the losses caused by interfering in the era of the music copyright are more serious than that of conventional music copies. These problems not only interfere the music copyright but also indirectly impact on the interests of neighboring right. The research on copyright in Japan both match with the standard of international treaties and the system of a global compensation of private tape recording and video taping provide in so far effective solutions for the problems of fake music copies in Japan. This study is doing research on the regulation of the music copyright and neighboring right in Japan and the system of a global compensation of private tape recording and video taping hoping that will be helpful in the system of copyright in our country.
