| Summary: | 碩士 === 淡江大學 === 大陸研究所 === 89 === With the growing trend of the Taiwanese investment in Mainland China, logistics issues are major focus of these business firms. Due to the short life cycle of the product and competition in market, logistics efficiency plays a major role in the competencies of the firm. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the potential barriers of the logistics system in China, and to identify the logistics strategic affecting factors of these Taiwanese electronic firms.
In this study, the state of the logistics system in China was evaluated by the literature review and site interviews. Base on this survey, the logistics capability is then identifies as the major factor in the formulation of the logistics strategy of a firm by the Resource base View approach. An Analytic Hierarchy Process was then applied to the electronic firms in the Shanghai Area as the case study of this research.
The results of this study indicate that:
A.The state of logistics system in China
Due to the long time of the protectionism and planned economics, there is few integration of the logistic system, most market are isolated due to the local protectionism.
B.The logistics obscures of the electronic firms in Shanghai Area
The lack of technology in the logistic centers is the major barrier. Insufficient logistic consulting service, incomprehensive value-added service and seasoned logistic agency are serious barriers of the system. In addition, there are some problems in insufficient automation in logistics, incomprehensive insurance coverage, low quality control and incorrect ordering system.
C.The logistics strategic affecting factors of the electronic firms in Shanghai area
The punctuation of the delivery is the major affecting factor in this case study. The quick response capability to changes, quality control, financial assessment and fast delivery are four important factors. There are other affecting factors with less impact, such as shorter lead-time, product guarantee, speed order handling.
