Among this, high speed feed drive is a key component for the development of fast and efficient machines. However, inertia force generated by fast reciprocating motion will cause the vibration of the frame and degrade the accuracy and fatigue life of the machine. In order to reach the high production efficiency level, this problem must be thoroughly analyzed and solved. Base on the importance of the problems above, the purpose of this project is trying to find out the influence that inertia force made to the frame when the platform start and stop immediately. The main point of this project is to measure the value of the inertia force by making experiments. We use laser to measure the value of acceleration and a load cell to measure the force that cast to the frame and analyze both results at last. In this project, we discoverd that shaking and vibration caused by inertia force cannot be ignored.
