Summary: | 碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 青少年兒童福利學系 === 89 === The study examined the relationships between adolescent’s values and deviant behaviors. The study sought to understand the differences of adolescent’s mental’s values, social-relationships and moral values and know further that values were related to adolescent’s deviant behaviors. Survey data was collected via a questionnaire administered to subjects. The sample consisted of 307 junior high school students and 318 youth offenders in Taichung.
Results indicated that:
1.Female adolescents put more emphasis on metal values, social -relationships values and moral values than male adolescents.
2.Fourteen year-old adolescents put more emphasis on social-relationships values than fifteen to eighteen year-old adolescents.
3.The degree of emphasis of social-relationships values and mental values that teenagers have is according to the different family styles and socioeconomic status.
4.The adolescent’s sex, age, family style, socioeconomic status and personality character can cause deviant behavior.
5.Junior high school students put more emphasis on mental values and social-relationships values than youth offenders.
6.These findings support hypotheses that social-relationships values and moral values would significantly influence adlescent’s deviant behaviors. It means that adolescents who care more about social-relationships values and moral values, the less the deviant behavior.
