The main purpose of this study was to explore how netters’, who played in double game, receiving models could affect scoring. The objects of study were six-time individual double game tryout players who were selected to represent our country to play games in the 13th Asian Games, which held in Bangkok, 1998 and the players of Peace Cup International Invitation Match, which held in Japan, 1998. The study had two purposes: (1) to explore directly scoring difference that related to receiving skills of forehand/backhand grips and return placed areas between both male and female netters. (2) to explore directly scoring difference that related to receiving models and return placed areas between both male and female netters.
Compiling statistics based on c2 and turning out the following results: (1) both male and female netters’ receiving skills of c2forehand/backhand grips (P<.05) met the standard. And forehand gripping was major scoring skill (male 95.8%, female 96.7%). The standard of male netters scoring directly right after receiving in return placed area was high (P<.05). Number 1 and 7 were major scoring areas. The standard of female netters scoring directly right after receiving in return placed area was high (P<.05). Number 2 was major scoring area. (2) There was no significant difference of scoring directly of receiving models among male netters (P>.05). There was significant difference of scoring directly of receiving models among female netters (P<.05). And receiving model 1 was the major scoring model. There was no significant difference between receiving models and scoring directly in return placed areas among male and female netters.
By means of this study you could understand what important role that receiving models playing in the games. In consequently both individuals and coaches could take it as a reference material for analysis and training.
