Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 營建工程系 === 89 === The Study of Implementing Design Quality Management System for Engineering Projects Thesis Advisor : Yong-Huang Lin Graduate Student : Lien-Fa Yeh ABSTRACT In order to promote national competitiveness, to advance the quality of life, and to become the Asia Pacific Regional Operations Center (APROC), the government of Taiwan is strenuously pushing for numerous major infrastructure construction plans. And the design quality of such plans has deterministic importance for the subsequent constructions and operations. Therefore it is becoming a very important subject nowadays to understand the characteristics of faults in design quality, to grasp the concept of upstream management so that preventive management measures could be prepared before they actually occur during design quality. On the other hand, the complexities of domestic construction project grow dramatically. And the complexities are almost always coupled with the necessity of system integration. One project manager would often need to make various coordination and integration between various design interfaces to avoid the influences of design work consistency because of amendments and alterations. Based on the above-mentioned reasons, it is essential to build a more effective design quality management model. Through the collections of faults of related design quality and interview investigation of present design quality management issues, this study tries to understand the important items of design quality management for project management and to discuss key issues in engineering consulting firm. And counter measures are studies. The objectives of this study are to include the major work and concepts of configuration management from ISO 10007 and to combine with the relative regulations of Quality Management System requirement from the new version of ISO 9001:2000. Furthermore, an engineering design quality management system structure is proposed in this study. It is our sincere hope that the building and implementation of this system structure we can effectively secure the promotion of design quality of project management and at the same time satisfy the requirement of feedback for design information and traceability causes for design change.
