Hence, the “floor-to-floor” method is designed to be applicable for all prefabricated constructions. This research is to determine how SC can be most effectively applied by integration of the construction process to the industry in the “floor-to-floor” method. A review on the features of prefabrication was conducted to identify productivity of labor, construction process and management. Six major teams including steel frame positioning, welding, floor setting, fire-protection facilitating, curtain wall and PC board erection, inner partition and cable/pipe arrangement were planned to operate simultaneously in a unit of floors and proceed cyclically to shorten the time and cost. Each team was organized based on individual average performance and time expenditure. The efficiency of each team was measured to regulate the time of each cycle in procession. The differences of time expenditure among teams were adjusted by labor resources to enable each team to complete tasks unhurriedly and safely before move on to next cycle. The range of the applicability of the “floor-to-floor” method was specified, the sources of tools, equipment and labor power were estimated. The basic calculation in this research was a method based on efficiency labor, in terms of time and cost. Consequently, in addition to the theoretical literature review, a wide range of information was collected, which included field filming and statistics analysis. The field research was especially focused on the cost-effective of the processing of steel framing and erection. During the field research, possible figures were collected as master samples and applied to the computer software, DecisionPro to generate more reliable figures. The primary purpose of this research is to develop management concepts and working procedures for constructing. Most of the concepts and procedures were illustrated with flow charts for users’ comprehension and convenience. An example based on field study was given to demonstrate the practicability of the “floor-to-floor” method, and as a result, it shortened the time of the project without compromising the quality and safety.
