Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 機械工程系 === 89 === This research aims first to establish the capabilities of the integrated heat-flow analysis on CPU heat-dissipation fins by using commercial FEM package, ANSYS. An evolutionary topology optimum design process is then used to seek the best configurational design of the fins that minimize the maximum fin temperature. This iterative design process involves sequential analyses of the heat-dissipation fin and removes one element at a time, through which the heat flux passes is the minimum. Illustrative examples demonstrate this approach effective in locating lower-temperature fin configurations that use reduced amounts of material.
