Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 電機工程系 === 89 === The objective of this thesis is focused on distribution system reliability evaluation and cost benefit analysis for different network configurations. First, a systematic method is developed to evaluate various distribution reliability indices for different feeder configurations. Four configurations are considered which involve radial type, open loop type, closed loop type, and primary network type. The system average failure rate, average failure duration, and average annual outage time are calculated for each load point. According to the basic parameters, we can derive the system average interruption frequency index (SAIFI), system average interruption duration index (SAIDI), etc., and find the customer interruption cost (CIC) from the sector customer damage functions (SCDF). Then, we use the load point interruption costs to determine interruption energy assessment rate (IEAR). Finally, cost benefit analysis is conducted on two test systems with different network configurations. The results obtained can help a utility to plan, design the distribution systems in a most cost-effective manner.
