Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 醫學工程學研究所 === 89 === The electrophysiological signals, such as electrocardiogram (ECG), electroencephalogram (EEG), electromyogram (EMG) and electrogastrogram (EGG), can reveal partial function of their associated organ. The aim of this study was to evaluate the correlation between the EGG parameters and gastric ultrasound measurements by using three different caloric liquids. Twenty healthy subjects were given three different caloric liquids to investigate the effect of three different liquids on postprandial gastric myoelectrical activity; that is, variations of various EGG parameters. Furthermore, by means of ultrasound imaging, the distance between the gastric wall and the abdominal wall was measured to determine if there was any correlation between the EGG signals and gastric ultrasound measurements of different caloric liquids. Similarly, by means of ultrasound imaging, the correlation between variations of gastric volume and EGG dominant power was analyzed. Finally, Student’s t-test was performed and P values<0.05 were considered to be statistically significant. The result revealed that the fasting EGG parameters showed no significant difference. The postprandial changes in EGG dominant power in all three sessions produced a statistically significant increase. The distance between the gastric wall and the abdominal wall in all three sessions showed no significant difference. It was also found that a liquid with higher caloric content resulted in a larger gastric retention volume.
