Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 機械工程學研究所 === 89 === Iron losses in silicon steel sheets significantly affect the efficiency, properties, and cost of electric machinery. Different kinds of input waveforms lead to different levels of iron loss. In this thesis, we study the iron losses of silicon steel sheets under different kinds of magnetizing waveforms by using a standard 25cm Epstein tester. This thesis can be divided into three parts. First, we measure the magnetization curves of three different kinds of silicon steels under sinusoidal waves. Secondly, the effects of flux harmonics on the iron losses are examined. To this end, we measure the hysteresis curves due to periodic flux waveforms composed of a 60 Hz fundamental and a single harmonic. The harmonic has different values of amplitude and phase relative to the fundamental component. Finally, we study the influence of PWM waveform parameters on the iron losses in silicon steels.
