Some important parameters in burning process will be discussed, e.g. arrangement of wood materials, weight of each layer, igniting method, quenching time, volume flow rate and temperature of under-fire air . Through further observation on temperature gradient and flame condition, the quenching time will be decided; the transition of wood mass and burnt condition on each layer will be observed after combustion. From the experimental results, in downward combustion by providing with first air, the thermal heat transfer downward in the beginning, during the pyrolysis stage it started to transfer upward, this made the thermal heat transferred downward and upward to the center of multi-particle wood simultaneously. Abstract
The purpose of this paper --- using a small fixed-bed furnace as an experimental apparatus to analyze the influence of wood stacking and arrangement on wood burning rate of each layer.
